I gave this another try. I modified the Info.plist file, changing the name of the executable. I did a make clean and built it under the name of the new Application_2 target.

<key>CFBundleExecutable</key>
<string>Application_2</string>

Same problem. Nothing happened. The name remained "Application" instead of "Application_2".

How do I reset the name of the application menu in the main menu?

Modify the name in the Info.plist (or InfoPlist.strings if it's localized) file.
