Really? At some point my application menu was *not* being renamed at runtime; I distinctly remember it always saying the default "NewApplication".


Once I set it in the nib, it worked fine after that. Because of this, I had gotten myself in the habit of setting the app name in the nib for every new project, since I have to change the "Quit NewApplication" and "NewApplication Help" menus anyway.

That's not the way to do it at all. The menu title is set when the application is launched to match the name of the application, as specified by the entries in the Info.plist file.
