Can you tell us the *exact* error message the Finder gives you, along with what buttons or text fields the dialog window around it contains? I'm pretty sure the Finder doesn't talk that you should "indetify" anything, because no English dictionary I have contains this word, and it's not an operation I ever heard of being used on a folder.
