Dear list,

I'm working on a document-based cocoa app. My NSDocument subclass uses these two methods for document serialization:

writeToURL:ofType:error:

readFromURL:ofType:error:

I'm getting a very weird error whenever I try to save an existing document.. an alert panel/sheet appears with this error:

The Location of the document <name> cannot be determined.

You can specify where to save it.

Has anyone seen this error before? Can you offer any advice. I see only a few small mentions of this error on the web with no one every answering how to fix it.

Thanks!
