Printers/Libraries/convert: page properties? attributes?

  • Subject: Printers/Libraries/convert: page properties? attributes?

I'm trying to generate PDFs from HTML files, which works fairly well with the tool in
/System/Library/Printers/Libraries/convert. However, only US Letter size pages are generated and I can't find a way to specify another paper size, let alone other page properties. The tool prints the following help:

Usage: /System/Library/Printers/Libraries/convert [-f <input filename>] [-o <output filename>] [-i <input mimetype>] [-j <output mimetype>] [-P <PPD filename>] [-u] [-a <attribute string>] [-U <username>] [-J <jobname] [-c <copies>] [-D]

-D seems to be "delete", and everything else is either self- explanatory, or totally obscure. What is -a <attribute string> good for?

I couldn't find documentation on this, but what I did find were messages on the web posted by confused people, asking similar questions.

I'd be most grateful for some enlightenment!

PS.: A tool (source code) that uses Webkit to produce a PDF from HTML would be equally desirable.
