A nice benefit, if using MySQL, is that it includes a license for the included MySQL client libraries which you'd have to purchase if you used an open source product. And the MySQL license fee is about the same as the price for our product.


As to the documentation, did you look at the example projects and the header files? I know there is a lot more that could be done, but I like to think the documentation/examples is decent compared to most third party frameworks I've used.

Also, you can freely try out the MacSQL framework before purchasing it. And I'm happy to answer any questions you want to throw my way.
