is kMDItemTextContent case-insensitive?

  • Thread-topic: is kMDItemTextContent case-insensitive?

Is a Spotlight query on kMDItemTextContent automatically case-insensitive
(and diacritic-insensitive)? I ask because it seems to be - I get the same
set of results whether or not I set the "c" and "d" flags - and yet this
doesn't appear to be documented anywhere. It seems pointless to bother with
these flags if their operation is automatic. Thx - m.
