Reading mail accounts with out Mail.app launching

Hi Everyone,

In my application, i am using Apple script for reading mail accounts from the System. When my application starts Mail.app opens automatically because of apple script. To prevent unnecessary launching of Mail app, i am searching for other alternative ways.

Surely all the mail accounts are maintained in a file (.plist i think). I searched for content file, but failed. Did anybody know the filename or path?

Or else, Is there, any other way of reading mail accounts from the System?

Thanks
-Apparao
