As a matter of fact, Mark, you'll find this expectation prevalent
on any such list. The documentation you were referred to really is
quite easily found just by searching the documentation for, "RTF".
It's always a good idea to spend a good bit of time searching for
your answer in all the "usual places" before posting, such as:
- The Apple documentation
- This list's archives
- The cocoadev.com Cocoa wiki
- Google (often turns up results not found in the usual places)
It's been said by many that, as a developer, the most important
skill you can have is good researching skills. I hope you will not
view this as an attack but rather some extremely helpful advice from
seasoned developers. Barring that, mmalc is a moderator of this list
and it's best to listen. :-)

I have a window with an NSTextView. Data is read from an rtf file
and should be displayed in this textview. The problem is that I
do not know how to display rtf data (as it was formated when the
file was made.) in a window. Would some one be able to help me
with this?
The answer to this is trivially found in the documentation -- try,
for example, <http://developer.apple.com/cgi-bin/search.pl?
q=NSTextView+rtf&num=10&site=default_collection>.
Members of the list are expected to expend reasonable effort in
finding an answer to their question before posting.
