Incredible, that's exactly what I was looking for. I knew this was possible. That gives me a real head start, should I wish to go the AE route. I'm still trying to figure out whether to go AE or AS, and that will be decided when I get my specifications and complete my research. Right now this is just preliminary research, but this will help a great deal I'm sure.

You can use EyeTunes, an open-source framework that gets all
information about iTunes and also controls it. I use it in
FetchYourLyrics and it is really good.
