Try not setting the calendar... You don't need to set the calendar in NSDatePicker unless you want to override the user's calendar preference.

Thanks, i will have a try on this. The main reason, i'm doing this right now is to have the date picker display localized names for months. I haven't localized the UI yet (just the English.lproj), so maybe i should wait and see, if the problem will solve itself, when adding the other localized NIB files.
