I'm writing an app which needs to access a list of all applications installed on the computer. Is there any way in cocoa to do this?

Just in case anyone thinks I'm turning grumpy, typing "list applications" into cocoabuilder's search field gives ten pages of results. And relevant results for every interpretation of the question, too. Try it:

http://www.cocoabuilder.com/search/archive/cocoa?words=list+applications

So please, just do *one* search before asking a question here.

Cheers,
