Hey guys;

I found something a little odd today. I'm playing around with
NSMovieView, and I found that I can play Apple's protected (DRMed)
audio files just fine, but it won't play video files.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes. Apple seems to have intentionally limited playback of iTMS videos to iTunes, QuickTime Player, and certain other Apple applications. There is currently no known way of enabling playback in 3rd-party applications, and any such way is likely to require a lot of really difficult and borderline illegal activities to discover.
