Segemented control and icon alignement...

I want to use a segmented control with three equal width segments with
equal sized icons... that works great but so far I haven't found a way
to adjust the alignment or placement of the icons in the segments. It
looks like the alignment is always in the lower left corner of the
segments cell. I can remake my images to ensure they are visually
centered but I want to make sure I am not missing a built in feature
of NSSegementedCell or its super classes.

So does a way exist to adjust image alignment and I am just overlooking it?
