NSWindowController doesn't call init method

NSWindowController doesn't call init method

I have a NSWindowController subclass, in which I have implemented the init method. But when I call the initWithWindowNibName: method init doesn't seem to be called. Is there any one method in NSWindowController that is called every time it's initialized?
