Newbie question with animations

  • Subject: Newbie question with animations

I have a screensaver that zooms words in and out (much like activating dashboard while holding shift). I am using animateOneframe to draw the string (using drawAtPoint: withAttributes:) at a certain point. My animationTimeInterval is set to 33 milliseconds. Now, my problem is that the animation animates every second or so (instead of every 33 milliseconds) and my computer's fans run at full speed. How can I get my screensaver to animate objects as fast and as smoothly as apple does with exposé and dashboard (while pressing shift)?
