Multiple Definitions of symbol _tgammaf (and 30 other symbols)

I'm getting these warning messages when compiling my XCode project (which is a Universal Binary) in the Release, but not the Debug configuration.

The first few multiply defined symbols are:

tgammaf, acoshf, asinf

They all seem to be math related C library functions.

I haven't tweaked anything that I would expect to cause this.

The actual binary seems to be fine

nm -g and otool -L don't seem to display anything untoward.

Has anyone else run into this?

   cheers,
          m.
