Preference Pane name?

  • Subject: Preference Pane name?

Howdy,

I built my Preference Pane against the 10.2.8 SDK for PPC and the 10.4u SDK for i386, and all of that seems to work fine.

The only issues I'm running up against are on 10.2.8. On that release:

1) It shows up as a folder in the Finder, rather than as the proper preference pane icon (although it does work fine).

2) In the System Preferences app, it shows up with its bundle identifier (CFBundleIdentifier) as its name, rather than the name I assigned to it in the info.plist (NSPrefPaneIconLabel).

Both of these things look fine on 10.3 and 10.4, so I'm wondering if maybe I need to tweak something in the bundle itself?

Thanks in advance for any tips,
--Mike
