find, sort...makewhatis

Hi,
I was working with XCode, then suddently I heard my disk running fast, so
I launched Terminal -> "top" and I saw that the command "find" was taking
75% of the CPU. Just after the command "sort", then the command "locate.big"
and "locate.cod", then "makewhatis".
I don't know whether this is related to Xcode. It happened 3 times already
when working with Xcode. Is anyone who knows that? Should I be worry?

Best Regards
