Hi all,

Im trying to use appleevents with itunes, and to retrieve the persistent id of a playlist.

the persistent id is defined as being of type 'comp'

type 'comp' is defined at:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/mac/IAC/IAC-230.html

as being:

      typeComp                = 'comp',      /*SANE comp*/

which helps me not at all :)

Im currently treating it as an integer, but Im worried im likely to lose some data that way.

does anyone have any suggestions of where to look?

thanks for any help.

Yours cheerfully,

	Andrew Bush
