I am trying to implement a custom find panel, with some customize options. Everything works fine to search for the next match when using the keyboard (menu) or the mouse to click on the "Next" button for the "simple" fields. I have some "complex" fields that I have to display a window or sheet (I can do either) to show/edit the actual values. Once that window opens up I can't use the mouse to click on the
"Next" button, the keyboard (menu) still works fine. For search it doesn't really matter, but when I do replace it will.

I have tried different combinations of creating my own run loops for the modal sessions, but I haven't been able to find the right combination. Hopefully I am missing some simple setting. Can someone please point me in the right direction.

To answer my own question. I was using - (BOOL)worksWhenModal in my delegate, but that wasn't working. What I really needed was to call setWorksWhenModal:

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice.
In practice there is no similarity.
