If by "release" settings you mean "target" settings, then you're
correct. I didn't think to open the Inspector on my target, and sure
enough, my Architectures setting had oddly said "<Multiple
Architectures>". Changing this to "ppc i386" fixed the problem, and
now my Deployment builds are UBs. Thanks.
