Why not place a QTMovieView over your normal view, and programmatically hide
and unhide it as necessary?

Subject: QTMovieView and NSView

Hi,
my app is based on a NSView containing some icons and handling user
events. I want, on user request,
to show a movie that subsitutes the entire view with its playing
content (or, better, plays behind the scene).

Which is the best way to do this?

I tried to modify my customclass "MyView : NSView" to become
"MyView : QTMovieView" but I have some problems (my
method initWithFrame is never called)

Any help?

If QTMovieView extends NSView, can I draw elements in it and handle
user events while playing a movie? Is it the right way to do that?

Thanks for help
