As I was typing my reply to the OP, I wondered if CF might actually
have limits on mutable strings. I thought, "Naw, couldn't be..."
I filed a bug report for this a while back, but haven't heard back
from them...
I mean, a capacity hint can be really, really, useful - so why
doesn't CF provide for this?
Perhaps there is a really good reason to provide max limits that I
just don't see! If someone knows what that might be, I would be
really interested to know what it is! There simply has to be some
reason, or else they wouldn't have implemented CF that way (I hope).
