I'm starting to develop a plugin for Mail.app.

The SmartMailboxes.plist file has a lot of properties that Mail.app interprets. But the supported property names are not predictable, and from what I can (so far) find, not easily found. For example, I can create something that excludes mail in a local mailbox using a local URL, but can not get Mail to recognize a plist setting for the same match based on the unique MailboxID (of a smart mailbox).

Any help with getting some sort of information would be greatly appreciated.
