DoubleAction in an empty Table...

Hi everybody,

My name is Peter. I am new to this list & to programming as well. One year
ago I started reading my first book on Objective-C. Now I finished building
my very first application. It is a simple, document-based app, mainly
showing a list of records in a table view. When I put the finishing touches
on it, I used NSTableViews setDoubleAction: to provide the possibility of
opening a record (editRecord) in its own window, if the user double-clicks a
record in a row.

I thought it would be fine, to provide my ³newRecord²-method in a similar
way, by invoking it, if a user double-clicks an ³empty² tableor unused row.
Therefore I read the documentation on NSTableView, NSControl and NSResponder
over and over, but still can¹t figure out, how this could be accomplished.
Is there anybody, who could help me with this?

Thanks & Greetings,
Peter, Austria
