Dragging promised files to finder behaviour question

All,

I'm in the process of implementing HFS Promise drag and drop in my application. I've got the basics working, I can drag from my custom NSView a PDF representation and it will successfully drop to a file in the location I drop it to. All that works great. I did the trick of overriding 'dragImage....' to allow me to specify additional types (NSPDFPboardType and NSFileContentsPboardType) and that's working fine aswell.

I notice when I click+hold and then drag the file icon of a file I'm editing in Xcode, when i drag it over the desktop I notice it has a link arrow on the drag image. However, I do the same with the dragging in my app, there is no such arrow. My question is, how do I get that arrow to appear on my drag image when I'm dragging onto the desktop or into a folder in Finder?

Cheers,
