Adding to NSTextView in a for loop

  • Thread-topic: Adding to NSTextView in a for loop

I have something like the following:

int i;
for (i=1; i<1000; i++) {
    [myView insertText: @"this is a test\n"];
}

What I observe is that each inserted text does not show up incrementally...
rather I see nothing until the loop is finished and then it all appears at
once.

Is there a way to have it appear incrementally, i.e. each time through the
loop another line appears?

Thanks,
