NSEvent isEqual

can anyone tell me if NSEvent overrides isEqual to do more than simply check 2 pointers? if all it does is check the two pointers (self and the passed in pointer), i assume that this is not a truly sufficient test.

equally important, can anyone tell me how i could have discovered this myself? its not at all apparent from any of the docs or searches i've done.

thanx,
ken

ps. in an attempt to stave off a series of questions, i need to know if a change to a date picker's value was caused by the same event that made the date picker the current first responder, ie, by the user clicking in one of the date pickers arrows when the date picker wasn't the first responder. i need this so i can undo properly.
