Running Applescript from an iTunes plugin

  • Subject: Running Applescript from an iTunes plugin

Hi,

I just mailed my first problem with my Cocoa-using iTunes plugin and here is another one:
When I want to use the NSAppleScript Object from within the iTunes plugin it screws up the whole apple script system. After an applescript has run once one of three random things happen:
1. accessing iTunes via Applescript from the outside get incredibly slow
2. all applescript accessing iTunes fail, that are doing any type conversion
3. all applescript to any applications suffer problem number 2 (have to restart)

Is that a general known problem?
It really seems that the cocoa carbon integration is problematic, even though I have only a few problem on my (intel) mac I get some complains I can't replicate.

Greeting from Germany
Christoph Vogelbusch

P.S.: I want to use AppleScript to provide information to the plugin that are normally not given.
