That may not be possible though.  When you test the interface, you're really just checking things visually and if the key views are wired correctly.  I know that for my custom bindings, only default values are used when I test the interface.  Other things, like custom value transformers, also do not execute within IB (I have a bug filed on that).

I'll say go ahead and file an enhancement request, but I think the IB team will argue that IB is not meant to completely simulate all aspects of an application environment.
