X11 selection mechanism in Cocoa applications

  • Subject: X11 selection mechanism in Cocoa applications

Hi,

I have been using Linux a lot lately for my work, and I really like the X11 selection mechanism where you can paste the last text selection that you made with the mouse. I was wondering if there is any way tom implement this behavior between Cocoa applications. It would imply to detect when the user makes a selection in the UI and then copy that selection. I suppose this is not easy (if not impossible!). Does someone see how this could be done?

Thanks in advance,
