AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges retains file handles

Good morning list :)

In my application I am using AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges to do
several simle unix commands as root, four of them in all. However after
about the 8th or 9th call it hangs. It appears that when it hangs it is
because I am out of file handles as I cannot execute any processes in a
terminal window until I exit the application.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Is there any way to release these handles without shutting down the
application?

I have reviewed every example I can find on the security framework, google,
etc and have not found any references to this problem or to releasing the
file handles.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions you may have.
