VideoView rendering [was Double click in QTMovieView]

  • Subject: VideoView rendering [was Double click in QTMovieView]

I was looking at VideoViewer. I noticed that playback is very smooth, but it is very 'grainy'; reveals compression artifacts to a high degree compared to a QTMovieView in a different project. Do you have any suggestions on how to alleviate this?

Valerio,

This is a known bug in QTKit. See
<http://lists.apple.com/archives/quicktime-api/2005/Aug/msg00115.html>

I avoided this issue by using Core Video and an OpenGL-based view . (See
the VideoViewer sample code)
