I was wondering in XCode 2.2 is there be a way to build for both intel and powerpc and pack that information into one file, one binary file, or should I build the product for both intel and powerpc and create a framework to choose the appropriate binary? I was thinking about putting the binary, objects, and libraries into the application's support folder. I guess this would be a best practices question. Can anyone tell me what they have done to overcome this obstacle.

What obstacle? Let's see: Project info, Build tab, first item is Architectures. Select both. The Mach-O binary architecture takes care of it all for you; I'll forbear the usual documentation link, but you should probably read up on it.
