Little update: I already managed to make a resizable text field, my only problem now is setting is shadow.
I tried to override the drawRect method to set a shadow and then call the super method, but it doesn't work. So I'm wondering what class I have to subclass exactly (NSTextView?) to make it happen and in what way.
Thank you all.
Bye.

Hi everyone, I'm attempting to create a text field like the ones in addressbook app, i.e. a textfield that, when selected, has a shadow and that resizes himself to adapt to the content.
I searched the list already for some information on this task and I found a thread dated 2004 where someone mentioned a WWDC tip that explained this and that could be made public in the future. Is it, now? Or there is someone willing to explain me how to accomplish it?
Thank you very much. Bye.
