Just FYI: This is the case with the vast majority of programming languages out there.
Agreed, but most languages provide compile-time diagnostics for case issues; dynamically bound languages like ObjC, OTOH, sometimes exhibit runtime failure instead, which is more difficult to track down, especially if you're a novice.
