I completely missed the part about not even switching apps. This
is most certainly wrong and I'd immediately delete any application
that presumes to interfere with my other applications. :-/
Displaying a modal dialog or window is perfectly acceptable,
however, for a number of uses. If you must display your license
agreement when the application launches (versus when the disk image
opens as John suggests), use a modal session, but *do not* presume to
interfere with other applications. What the user does outside your
app is none of your business.
