Alan,
I honestly wouldn't sweat it as the replies, at least to me [on
several reads], did not seem harsh - just informative. Assuming they
did have an outraged tone I've found the best approach (though not
necessarily the easiest) is to treat it like customer service - find
the kernel of goodness [the message/lesson] and ignore the delivery
mechanism [most of the text around the former.]
In the end, we are all learning, but we can't all be perfect
teachers :) [being guilty on both sides of the aisle myself]
