I'm very much a Cocoa newbie, so I hope it's ok to post newbie
questions here. If not, I'll happily take suggestions on where to
go. On to my problem. I'm working on my first Cocoa application
"from scratch". It's a simple image viewer, doesn't do anything
really complex. However, when I try to run it from a standard user
account [on both PPC and Intel], it crashes on startup. As an
admin [again on both PPC and Intel], it works perfectly.
It started happening after I added preferences, but I'm not sure if
that's what's causing it as I pretty much just adapted what was in
Aaron Hillegass's Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X [2nd Ed.]. As an
admin, it's writing the user defaults to ~/Library/Preferences as
it should, so I don't think it's a permissions issue [could be
wrong of course]. I'm sure that's hardly enough information to
diagnose the problem, but I'm not really sure where to start
looking. I've got the crash log, but I can't for the life of me
decipher it. I've also Googled everything I could think of and not
found anything. Any guidance/direction would be greatly appreciated.
How about attaching just the stack trace portion of the crash log.
That should at least give some starting clues...
