Ordering within multiple child windows

  • Subject: Ordering within multiple child windows

Preface - this is a restating of a previously posted and unanswered question. My original post was 9-21, "Child windows, ordering, shadows". I'm sorry to repost - I assume no one who saw the original had anything to say about it - but since I still haven't made any progress with the problem I thought I would risk a second try.

I have a parent window with a varying number of child windows. Explicitly ordering various of the children NSWindowAbove the others simply doesn't seem to work correctly - I'm basing that judgement on the drawing of one window's shadow appearing over rather than behind another window which was ordered above it.

My current suspicion is that there's some limitation with child windows, but I'm really not sure...

Thanks,

Wil
