In my NSView subclass:

Out of curiosity, are you targeting Panther or earlier? IIRC, the Finder didn't set the NSFilenamesPboardType pasteboard until Tiger. For older versions of the Finder, you have to use CorePasteboardFlavorType 0x6675726C instead.
