Well, in the case of notifications, if you don't specifically say "if the notification is in regards to this particular window do this and that ..." then all windows would be treated the same.

For most windows I do, of course. However, even if I add a completely empty window
to my MainMenu nib file in such a way that only that window ever makes it to the screen,
it also shows this bizarre behaviour...
