Spelling Server not responding in Activity Viewer

Hi,
I created a custom spelling service for MacOSX (Carbon-Cocoa mix), which
works nicely on Tiger. But although it works perfectly, Activity Viewer
shows the process red and "not responding". If I close and reopen
Activity Viewer (not spelling service itself!!!), the process is
displayed OK for some time, but turns to red after few minutes.
It looks very similar to iChatAgent problem
(http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301668), but it was
fixed by Apple and I found no information how it was technically solved.
Any ideas, what makes Activity Viewer to think that alive and perfectly
functioning process is "Not responding"? And of course, how to work
around it.
