Those of us who deal with non-standard (i.e. high bit-depth) images
find it helpful to have such a tool set like CoreGraphics.  I use
NSImage when my imaging needs are more casual, but when it matters,
you go to CoreGraphics.

It isn't so ugly when you get into it :)



Thanks for the example code. I'll try to incorporate it. I was hoping I wasn't having to go this deep: CoreGraphics code seems so ugly compared to Core Image (maybe I've just been coding in Objective C for too long...).
