If you'd like all this information prepackaged as a plist, check out the SparkePlus project. There's no formal home page yet, but some details are at <http://ironcoder.org/blog/category/sparkleplus/>. The model translation is at <http://ironcoder.org/svn/SparklePlus/trunk/SUModelTranslation.plist>.

I've tried to keep this up to date (last addition was iMac6,1, the 24"
iMac), but I'm kind of wondering if I should just be using
"system_profiler -xml SPHardwareDataType".
