Heh. I didn't invent it and I didn't put it in Mac OS X -- you can
thank Fred for that. Buy, yeah, I perpetuated it for far too many
years.
The real crime is that the Subversion developers haven't gotten
around to doing opaque collections. "But it is only for Mac
developers!?!?!!"
Uh, no, it is the one thing that bars Subversion from wider
acceptance into non-technical arenas. Try explaining to your average
non-geek exactly why this random tool that manages inventories of
files can't actually, you know, like, examine the bloody filesystem
and just do the right thing.
But I digress from the topic of this list.... bringing it back around...
Why the heck hasn't anyone slapped CVL on top of the Subversion
client libraries?!?!?!?!?!
