Black rectangle follows focused responder

Hi All,

This morning i did a wrong key combo (even several of them), and I find myself with
a black rectangle that's drawn on top of everything (on top of window),
looks like having the frame of the responding object, and is not sepcific to Cocoa applications.
It's everywhere!

I even have supplementary items in the Apple menu.

For example, instead of Sleep, Restart..., Shut Down..., there is also 'Restart' and 'Shut Down'.
The same holds for my login name, there's the orignal version with the ellipsis and one without.
Also, there's Force Quit... and Force Quit <Application> (eg: Force Quit Mail)

I restarted the computer and it's still there.
I searched for reccently modified .plist but couldn't findd anything that fits.

If it happened to you or you know what to do, or you know the right place
to post this please tell me!

Regards.
