This is a good point -- if your problem is that code crashes, it's
really useful to be very specific about exactly *how* it's crashing and
what you've done to try to debug it.
How about using an init routine for searchQuery? (setString: isnot an init)
NSString is an abstract class and needs an init.
To be extra-pedantic, what's missing here is both an allocation and an
initialization. Any Obj-C object is going to need both -- 'abstract'
classes aren't the issue here.
