Jay:
My questions are to be posted just becaus I'm asking some simple questions? What you would do when you are at learner level and you never aska question to someone else?
I feel confused about this.
This list is for asking Cocoa questions, so that's not a problem.
The trouble comes when someone posts frequently asked questions
without searching for the answers first. There is a *lot* of traffic
on this list, so asking questions about the basics will get the usual
response of "read the documentation" and "search the list archives",
since that's what you should always do before posting. Fortunately,
most people who reply with "read the documentation" will direct you to
the correct place, since some things are hard to search for if you
don't know the terminology. It's vital to do your research before
posting; not doing so requires others to do it for you.
It's like hundreds of tourists asking the same person at a bus stop
when the tour bus stops there, even though they're standing right in
front of the bus schedule. After being asked a few hundred times, any
normal person will tend to give increasingly terse answers (such as
wordlessly pointing to the bus schedule with a look of annoyance on
their face). What seems unfriendly to you isn't necessarily so; you
just don't realize you're the fiftieth person who asked an
easily-answered question ... ;-)
